ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE?
TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
BY USING YOUR INNOVATIVE
SKILLS TO ADVANCE GOD'S KINGDOM?
SO YOU MIGHT BE THINKING..
WHAT THE #HACK?!
To put it simply, #HACK is a 3-day hands-on event for programmers, engineers, designers, project managers, and others to unleash creativity through technology to take the Gospel to new people, places, and spaces.

Participants create long-term impact as we learn from each other and address challenges facing our local and global communities.

#HACK is more than just an event.
THE
CHALLENGES
ARE YOU READY TO BE PUT TO THE TEST?
Every year, #HACK partners with organizations to help them with problems affecting communities. #HACKers all around the world gather, collaborate and put themselves to the test by attempting to provide solutions to these problems.

Check out the challenges tackled by our brave #HACKers last October #HACK 2022 below!
PARTNER # 1
FINISHING THE TASK
HOW MIGHT WE HARNESS PUBLIC DATA TO IDENTIFY EVANGELISTIC OPPORTUNITIES?
Countless data points about people's opinions, lives, and practices around the globe are publicly available online. Much of this data is underutilized in the missions context. Datasets on technology, worldview, and demographics are of particular importance for evangelistic strategies.
PARTNER # 2
STADIA - CHURCH PLANTING
HOW MIGHT WE INSPIRE, EMPOWER OR EQUIP THE NEXT GENERATION TO START NEW, MULTIPLYING CHURCHES FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT YET FOLLOWERS OF JESUS?
Today’s churches are not enough to reach those who do not yet know Jesus. You can validate this statement using a common gospel mission goal to see 1 church for every 1000 people. Simply divide the population of your location by 1000 and ask whether there are that many churches actively engaged in introducing unbelievers to Jesus.
PARTNER # 3
INTERNATIONAL JUSTICE MISSION
HOW MIGHT WE CONNECT THE COMMUNITY TO OUR LOCAL ENFORCEMENT TO BE ABLE TO REPORT ONLINE SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN CASES?
To end OSEC (online sexual exploitation of children) we have to stop those committing the crimes and rescue the children who are victims of it. There are many ways for the government to be made aware of these types of crimes. Children need those aware of the abuse to report the crime to the authorities.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is unique about the Indigitous #HACK Metro Manila?

The Indigitous #HACK gathers those with a desire to take the gospel to new people, places and spaces. It offers participants an opportunity to meet the needs of the mission, the church and society on a local and global scale. We learn from one another, expanding your influence through making new friends, and creating Kingdom impact through an innovation sprint.

What happens at #HACK?

During the event, teams are formed and they work to create a unique solution to solve one of the three challenges.

Why join #HACK?

#HACK is an opportunity to create solutions that have a lasting impact, solve problems facing global and local communities, make new friends, and have fun while you are doing it.

Is #HACK only for people who can code?

#HACK welcomes anyone who wants to collaborate on mission-focused, technology projects with long-term impact. While our work focuses on multiple technology platforms, you don’t have to be a programmer to get involved. We need designers, photographers, writers, project managers, social media gurus – creative thinkers of all types! The most important skill is the ability to work as a team and find ways to problem-solve. Also, while Indigitous #HACK is explicitly Christian, participants from any (or no) faith background are welcomed warmly.

When and where is the event?

On October 14 & 15, #HACK Metro Manila will happen virtually and face-to-face on October 16, 2022 at Philippine Campus Crusade for Christ, Bright room, 1st floor, #40B Scout Borromeo, South Triangle, Quezon City, near Victoria Condominium.
